Question
What are some examples of good and very simple music production software?
I have used the software instruments on garageband (eheh) by copying and pasting to make cool beats and synthy songs of many styles. I can't do a whole lot with just that, so I was wondering what program I should look at for doing the same basic thing, except with a whole lot more voices (especially in the drums section) and more versatality and relatively simple. Cost is another factor. Can anybody give me any advice?

I like to use FL Studio for most of my beats. There is a lot of software and hardware out there that you could use but I would try FL Studio since it's not to expensive plus it has a huge support community. Most of the people on this site use it. You can download the trial version and try it out at http://flstudio.image-line.com/.
If you don't use a PC you can try FL Studio and VMWare Fusion (with XP or Vista) or maybe logic. I have not used it but I've heard good things about it.
